"Take 20 minutes out of your day, do what young people all over the world are dying to do: vote" - Rick Mercer
“Wherever you are on the political spectrum [Stephen Harper’s} past should be terrifying.
Also want to clarify, my faith does NOT dictate to me who I vote for. What I am commanded to do by my faith WILL. And so far Harper has done nothing to help the marginalized, vulnerable or seek justice for the poor and oppressed(the basis of most faiths). My faith does not support a capitalist, neo-liberalism, blatantly misogynist government who’s idea of family values only focuses two parent, middle class families. I’m a single parent poor family, trust me he has done nothing for us. He cancelled the Kelowna accord, a national daycare strategy (now we get $100 per child instead of access to a safe, affordable daycare spot) I can go on. Long and short, don’t vote based on the herd mentality of various faiths, investigate. read. come to your own conclusions and ask “How are the marginalized and vulnerable empowered or dis-empowered by these policies/decisions and how has his track record shown his approval for some groups(oil, big business etc) and his contempt for others (mostly aboriginals, the poor and women) Most of all people VOTE!!”—Trisha Baptie, on ditching Stephen Harper May 2nd
This Bobby Dee rarity is being posted in homage to my recent fascination with George Jackson/The Soledad Brothers, the Black Panthers, and essentially any/all revolutionary leftist movements of the 60s and 70s (A.I.M., Leonard Peltier, & John Graham included). If you have some spare time and are interested in criminal injustices, check it alllll out.
